Overview
"Just Like Jamie" was written to teach kids ages 5-9 ways to stay safe when it comes to preventing sexual abuse. This book also teaches children how to recognize abuse and how to report it. "Just Like Jamie" can act as a tool to help anyone who may be having this difficult conversation with children. Description Jamie is a first grader that learns all about body safety and can't wait to tell his parents about it. This book was written to teach kids ages 5-9 ways to stay safe when it comes to sexual abuse. "Just Like Jamie" teaches children how to recognize abuse and how to report it. An important part of this book reassures kids that's it's never their fault when abuse happens to them. It also includes important conversation about the difference between secrets you can keep and secrets that are not safe to keep. This book can act as a tool to help anyone who may be having this difficult conversation with children. |
